Foster Application

Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to a dog in need.

We are proud to have foster homes across Alberta, with many of our dogs located in and around Calgary, Edmonton, and Medicine Hat. Fostering is a truly rewarding experience and plays a critical role in helping dogs transition into safe, loving environments while they wait for their forever homes.

As a foster, you will provide day-to-day care, guidance, and a stable environment. This can include feeding, basic training, attending vet appointments, and helping your foster dog adjust to home life. You won’t be doing this alone—our team provides ongoing support every step of the way.

Please ensure your application is completed in full and as thorough as possible. Incomplete applications may not be reviewed or responded to.

Our rescue is entirely volunteer-run. While we do our best to review applications as quickly as possible, response times can vary and we are unfortunately unable to respond to every application. If we have a dog in need of a foster home that matches your application, a volunteer will reach out to you to discuss next steps.

If you are new to fostering or would like to learn more about what to expect, we encourage you to review our foster program guide here:

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a foster application and for your interest in supporting rescue dogs in need.

Our rescue is entirely volunteer-run, and we are often working through a high volume of applications while also caring for dogs currently in our program. Because of this, we are unfortunately not able to respond to every application individually.

If and when we have a dog entering our care who may be a good match for your home and experience, we will reach out directly.

We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and willingness to help dogs in need. Every application helps us build a network of potential foster homes, and we couldn’t do this work without support like yours.
