Thank you for choosing adoption! Welcoming a rescue dog into your family can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Every dog in our care is unique, with their own personality, needs, and ideal home environment, so we encourage you to read each dog's profile carefully before applying.

At Ruff Start Rescue, we select adopters based on the best match for each dog's individual needs. Our adoption process is not first come, first served. We take the time to find the home where each dog is most likely to thrive for life.

If a dog has already been matched with an applicant, they may appear on our Dogs Pending Adoption page while their adoption is being finalized.
